Last Friday I got the results of a blood screen, the Doctor noticed I had low Iron and Hemoglobin levels which is not the greatest thing since oxygen binds to the iron/hemoglobin which is kind of important when running, anyways he has me on Iron supplements three times a day with Vitamin C, he says my levels should be back to normal in a few months, he said I should notice a noticeable difference in my energy levels. I think this problem stemmed from 1) being a vegetarian for 8 years 2) Even now that I started eating meat, I consume red meat once a month not even, chicken maybe. A friend who is a dietitian sent me some advice, I am planning on following the tips so this does not happen again.
