5 x 1k (Beaver Lake) with descending rest (3:14,3:12,3:10,3:18, 3:13).
This was a very good workout considering I was in major recovery mode on Tues and did not think I could make this workout.
John told me to hit 3:16 per interval which I did easily except for the 4th interval in which I held back because I wanted to break 3:08 (PB for this workout) felt totally fine after could have done a couple more easily at this pace. I experimented with Kre-Alkalyn buffered creatine this workout (Kre-Alkalyn buffered creatine (1.5 grams total) is equal to what your body can absorb from a whopping 15 grams of regular creatine monohydrate), back in the day I used creatine for the hockey/football/weight training it generally gave you a little extra something so you push out a few more reps. I was told this Kre-Alkalyn is starting to be used by endurance athletes for aneorobic interval training. This type of creatine also suppossibly prevents bloating/water retention which is a common side effect of most creatines. Here is the low down on Creatine from wikipedia:
