Scott McMillan : Endurance Junky

Ran to work again this AM. Tough run very chilly and icy in spots.
Interesting thing happened though I had my head down watching for ice while making the slow climb up Marine Drive and a coyote ran across my path quite close was kind of freaky. The very freaky thing was I was questioning why I was doing it (running up a hill in the cold at 8:00 AM) and I thought of the quote from Once a Runner “It’s the lean wolf that leads the pack”, then the coyote pranced in front of me… I know a coyote is not a wolf but they are closely related. This season is all about weight loss and the base training maybe this was a sign.
I am not running home due to the fact I am going to the Banff Film Festival tonight.
